Laboratory
The Student Health Center (SHC) laboratory is a California Licensed, CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) accredited, on-site clinical lab providing diagnostic testing that aids in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of infections and other medical conditions under treatment by Student Health Center providers. Lab orders from outside providers are not accepted. Lab services are provided by a California Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Labs are generally performed from 8:30am - 4:00pm, call ahead to confirm lab availability.
In-House Lab Tests include (no charge during academic year, must be ordered by SHC clinicians):
- Strep Screens
- CBCs
- Urine Tests
- Urine Pregnancy Tests
- Test for vaginal infection
- Mononucleosis Test
- Skin Scraping for fungal infection
